Terms of Sales
General
The following Terms of Sales applies to any online order that you place with Rakuten Kobo Inc. (“Kobo,” “we,” or “us”) located at 150 John Street, 5th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5V 3E3. Please read the Terms carefully. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms of Sales including the additional terms and policies referenced herein.
Kobo reserves the right to change any part of these Terms. It is your responsibility to check the Terms periodically for changes.
You may have rights under consumer protection laws of the jurisdiction of your purchase, or, if different, residence, which rights may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, in which case these Terms do not affect those rights to the extent that such rights may not be limited under law to those stated herein.
Purchases
To shop and make a purchase, you need to have a modern browser and cookies and JavaScript enabled.
When you purchase your eReader and/or accessory, you will be charged the total amount of your order (plus any applicable taxes) to the credit card provided. By concluding the transaction, you agree to accept electronic invoicing.
Kobo accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Paypal, Klarna or Afterpay. Kobo reserves the right to reject any and all tax exemption certificates.
Kobo reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order to any person for any reason at any time prior to shipment, including after an order has been submitted, whether or not the order has been confirmed. We may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or phone number provided at the time the order was placed if all or a portion of your order is cancelled, or if additional information is required to complete and accept your order. We shall have no liability to you in the event of such cancellation.
SMS Messaging
If you opt in to SMS messaging, you agree to our Messaging Terms and Messaging Privacy Policy.
Order Status
Kobo will confirm your purchase by emailing you an order confirmation that outlines the details of your order, your order identification number and confirmation that the payment has been made to Kobo and that your credit card has been charged accordingly. Once your order leaves Kobo’s warehouse, Kobo will send you a second email with details on how to track the delivery of your order.

Delivery
Your order will usually be delivered to you within 7 to 10 business days of the date of purchase. Delivery will be made by standard ground transportation.
If an order cannot be delivered due to inaccurate or incomplete delivery information provided by you then the order will be returned to Kobo and you will be charged a restocking fee. If an order cannot be delivered due to unavailability at the delivery address or refusal at the door, then the order will be returned to Kobo and you will be charged a restocking fee.
We try to deliver on time, but we cannot guarantee timely delivery due to limitations including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, credit check, order of incompatible items (e.g. Libra 2 with Nia accessory) and inaccurate address.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order within 8 hours of purchase, please visit the Order Status page to cancel your order. You will not be charged restocking fees.
Returns
If you are dissatisfied with your eReader and/or accessory purchased through au.kobobooks.com for any reason, you have 45 calendar days after the date of purchase to return the eReader to Kobo. You must return the goods in its original condition, together with proof of purchase, to the address specified by Kobo and provide a tracking number to us. Upon receipt of the returned eReader and/or accessory, Kobo will refund the cost of the eReader and/or accessory to the credit card charged at the time of purchase, less any applicable restocking fees.

Kobo complies with the Australian privacy principles in relation to the collection and disclosure of information about individuals. Information about the nature, scope and purpose of collecting, processing and use of personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Information on the Website
We try to ensure the information on this site is accurate. However, we do not accept liability for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies and shall not be bound by information contained on the website including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law.
Warranty & Help
If you encounter problems with your eReader, please visit the Kobo Help Centre to resolve the issue. If, within the warranty period, the issue cannot be resolved, you may exchange your defective eReader in accordance with Kobo’s warranty. The same warranty is provided for both new and certified refurbished eReaders. Kobo will require a copy of your receipt if you make a warranty claim for your eReader.
