We’re committed to reducing our impact on the environment. Since 2022, all Kobo Readers have been made with more eco-conscious materials.
Each features an exterior made with:
more than
85%
recycled plastic
including
10%
ocean-bound plastic
These materials help us divert plastic bottles, CDs, DVDs and other waste from our oceans and landfills.
Our more eco-conscious packaging is also magnet-free and made with FSC-certified recycled paper.
Kobo Clara BW, Kobo Clara Colour, and Kobo Libra Colour eReaders are repairable. Learn how to extend their lives at kobo.com/repairability.

We offer an eRecycling mail-in option free of charge in Canada and the US. After arriving at a government certified e-waste recycling company, your Kobo eReader will be broken down into re-usable glass and plastic, and the remaining waste is disposed of according to local regulations.

Consult your municipality, province, or state for information about e-waste facilities. Some retailers who sell Kobo products offer recycling alternatives where you can drop off your eReader.
